ANNA TARNOWSKA
Anna Tarnowska is the head of the Bydgoszcz UNESCO City of Music Office and a leading figure in implementing projects related to the city's activities in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. Additionally, Anna is the head of international projects including, among others “Music Industry Resilience Acceleration Program (Interreg Baltic See Region). With years of experience in the music and culture industry, she previously held the position of Head of The Promotion Section at the City Centre of Culture, the most important municipal institution in Bydgoszcz. In this role, she managed the institution's image campaigns, led and implemented promotional campaigns for many festivals, including music festivals (such as International Festival of Folk and Traditional Music ETHNIESY and International Festival of Rhythm and Percussion Art DRUMS FUSION). Additionally, she produced cultural and musical events, including international festivals of music, artistic residency program and Bydgoszcz Music Summit – the international conference focusing on sustainable development in the music industry. Before that, she worked for Poland's most significant newspaper, Gazeta Wyborcza, where she covered political affairs, local government, education and culture. She graduated in philosophy and Iberian studies. She speaks English and Spanish fluently and basic French and Italian.
