Mélisande celebrates the tenth anniversary of her Electrotrad project with Rembobine (Rewind), an album that reimagines traditional Québécois songs. Joined by four talented musicians—Alexandre de Grosbois-Garand (wooden flute, bass), Jean Desrochers (acoustic guitar), Gabriel Girouard (fiddle, foot stomping), and Éric Breton (percussion)—Mélisande (lead vocals, jaw harp, mandolin) breathes new life into her past work. The songs, drawn from folklorists’ collections and elders along Quebec’s Richelieu River, are infused with a modern twist.
