Les Moontunes is an Acadian heavy-soul ensemble that has established itself as one of Eastern Canada’s must-see bands, continually reaching out to other galaxies with its celestial soundscapes. The group broke through in 2021 winning two Music New Brunswick Awards for “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” and “Video of the Year.” Fans of soul, jazz, and rock will be captivated by this group that blends catchy grooves with interstellar rock jams. Winners of the 2024 Music New Brunswick “Innovator of the Year” award, the group has distinguished itself as a unique act that pushes boundaries and maintains a strong artistic cohesion throughout its projects. The group’s most recent album, Elephant Wizard (2024), displays an expanded sonic palette and new levels of originality and maturity in their music emphasizing the heavier aspect of their signature heavy-soul sound. In 2024 Les Moontunes performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival, Festival d’été du Québec, Festival de Jazz et Blues de Saguenay and Festival Acadie Rock which has solidified the band’s status as an innovative act in the East Coast music scene.
