MATÍAS SALDÍAS

Matías Saldías is the Operations Director of VAM – Valparaíso Musical, one of Chile’s leading professional music gatherings, where he leads artistic programming and the development of networks among cultural agents, festivals, record labels, and international music markets. Through this role, he has fostered the circulation of jazz, roots music, experimental projects, and emerging Latin American scenes, creating spaces for connection between artistic creation, industry, and audiences. He is also the founder and Artistic Director of Mescalina, an independent record label with more than ten years of experience dedicated to the development of artists connected to contemporary jazz, world music, and singer-songwriter projects. His work combines artistic direction, international circulation strategies, and audience development, actively collaborating with festivals, networks, and music export platforms across Latin America and Europe.
