Warsaw Village Band 🇵🇱
Warsaw Village Band is one of Poland’s most iconic folk ensembles, renowned for its bold fusion of traditional and contemporary sounds. For over a decade, the group has been reviving forgotten songs and melodies, mainly from the Mazovia region, and reimagining them through a modern musical lens. Their powerful, ethereal harmonies, led by three dynamic frontwomen, are supported by a vibrant array of traditional instruments including the baraban, dulcimer, hurdy-gurdy, hoop drums, Plock fiddle, and Bilgoray suka. Renowned as global ambassadors of Polish folklore, the Warsaw Village Band has toured extensively across five continents, performing at major international festivals and in intimate concert halls. Their discography includes seven acclaimed albums including their latest release, Twines, which topped the World Music Charts Europe in February 2025. Celebrated for their genre-defying sound—blending folk with elements of jazz, punk, trance, reggae, minimalism, and classical music—the band remains deeply rooted in Slavic tradition. With multiple Fryderyk Awards (Poland’s equivalent of the Grammys) and a BBC Radio 3 Award to their name, the Warsaw Village Band continues to captivate audiences with performances that are both culturally grounded and sonically adventurous.
