Led by Harlinson Lozano and Andrés Sánchez, Espiral7 is a Cali-based band that draws inspiration from the rhythmic patterns of Colombian Pacific music. Their musical approach features a cinematic, forceful, and energy-charged sound with high-quality compositions that blend Latin pop, rock, salsa, and Afro-Latin music and is the result of over twenty years of musical exploration and research. For their live performances, Espiral7 offers an explosive and nuanced sonic experience with seven exceptional musicians on stage. The band’s debut album, Ciclos (2018), featured a fusion of diverse rhythms and lyrics that reflected everyday life, nature, and Colombian social reality. Espiral7’s second release, Formas (2022), took the listener on a sonic quest culminating in a powerful, energy charged album with guitar as its driving force. This album solidified the NeoCaleño sound by incorporating elements from different regions of the country: Caribbean sounds, powerful riffs, and dance-inducing grooves. Theband’s most recent release, Mi Corazón (2024), is an impeccable fusion of the three sounds that resonate through Cali’s streets: salsa, rock, and Pacific music. It weaves a tapestry of diverse stories, from family traditions and personal journeys to the lessons of love and heartbreak taking the listener on a sonic voyage brimming with vibrant colors and vivid imagery.
