Chaivers

Chaivers is a Peruvian instrumental quartet whose music fuses progressive rock, funk, jazz, and world music with rhythms rooted in Peru’s musical traditions, delivered through a contemporary and distinctive artistic vision.

Formed by Kokiman Romero, Javier Honorio, Álvaro Sovero, and Hazael Abraham, the band gained recognition with their debut album Escape (2021), which positioned them within the Peruvian instrumental scene and was supported by a series of six cinematic music videos. In 2022, Chaivers released Contacto 477 (Live from La Cúpula de las Artes), solidifying their live performance format in both audio and video.

Chaivers has performed at international festivals such as the Villa de Leyva International Jazz Festival (Colombia) and Voces del Jazz Festival in Cartagena, including a special collaboration with Colombian clarinetist Juan Diego Panadero.

The band is currently working on their second studio album, expanding their sound and live repertoire.
