Daltonists
daltonists is a Polish experimental trio [genre: leftfield jam], whose name refers to colour blindness, a congenital visual impairment. This flaw in human nature has become the band's idée fixe, their main inspiration and motivation for creating music. The musicians combine the colours of contemporary jazz, afrobeat, dub, African and club music.
Despite their short existence (June 2021), daltonists have become a sensation on the local scene, playing at several prestigious festivals in Poland, including Jazz Jantar, True Tone Festival and OFF Festival. At the Crossroads Showcase Festival in Ostrava, they won a special award for the best band selected by music industry professionals, which resulted in invitations to further festivals in 2026/2027 (Sunfest and Ottawa Jazz in
Canada, Colours of Ostrava in the Czech Republic, Jazz Fest in Brussels) and others.
The band's debut mini-album, entitled “daltonists,” was released on May 9, 2024, and its YouTube version went viral, garnering a huge number of positive comments from around the world.
Daltonists are presented by UPBEAT On Tour.
