More about TD Sunfest: Considered “one of the top three festivals in Canada” (Vancouver musician Jonathan Bernard) and voted one of the Top 100 Destinations in North America (the American Bus Association), TD Sunfest transfigures Downtown London’s beautiful Victoria Park into a culturally diverse jewel where over 35 outstanding world music & jazz ensembles representing almost every region of the planet entertain on five stages.  Legendary radio host Rev. Cool (Jim Carter) has been leading a posse of world music aficionados from Dayton, Ohio to Sunfest for almost 20 years.  He calls the festival “amazing…I’ve watched kids grow up dancing in front of some of the best bands in the world.” Sure to please Sunfesters like Rev Cool, many of whom have become fans for life, is the festival’s adherence to a winning formula again this summer.  Exceptionally high artistic standards and accessibility to the whole community have been constants at TD Sunfest over the past 21 years.  Last year we had over 250,000 visitors to celebrate our 20th Anniversary including an incredible 2 hour concert by Cuba's legendary Los Van Van.

While TD Sunfest is a music lover’s dream – a chance to enjoy the fruits of organizers’ globe-hopping visits to key performance showcases from Morocco and Montreal, to Bury, England and Santiago, Spain, it’s also a feast for the other senses, with more than 300 exhibitors whetting festivalgoers’ appetites for scrumptious international cuisine and unique crafts & visual art.  Indeed, in 21 years, TD Sunfest has truly become one of the most important dates on the summer social calendar.  And so, beginning on Thursday, July 9th, 2015, Sunfesters from near and far will descend on Victoria Park in record numbers – maybe for the umpteenth time – joyously celebrating their culture and sharing it with old and new friends from around the globe. Below is an interview with two members of last year's Galaxie Rising Star Award, The Lemon Bucket Orkestra.
