The 2008 line-up ranged from Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 (Nigeria) to Dobet Gnahore (Ivory Coast), and from Grupo Fantasma (USA) to Rizwan-Muazzam Qawwali (Pakistan).

On top of the above offerings, last summer's festival sizzled with a brand new programming component entitled Fiesta '08: A Showcase of Latin American Music & Dance. In addition, the ever popular francophone stage, "Le village québécois," was rebranded as La Scène francophone Radio-Canada, and The Jazz Village Stage returned stronger than ever as The WestJet Performance Stage.
